Funding & Training: Our program is committed to providing full funding for all admitted MFA students through Graduate Teaching Assistantships. For 2016-2017, the annual salary is $10,555. MFA GTAs receive stipends of approximately $1172 per month, along with full tuition remission and a $430 stipend-supplement each quarter (excluding summer) to defray roughly half of student fees.OSU provides health care coverage through an 85% GTA-only health insurance premium subsidy.

Application (Deadline Jan. 4):
- Manuscript: 15-20 double-spaced pages for prose; 10-12 poems for poetry
- Statement of objectives (500-750 words)
- Three letters of recommendation
- Official copy of transcripts
- Current resume highlighting any publications, awards, fellowships, or relevant writing/teaching experience
- General GRE scores optional
- $75 application fee
